A murder mystery: what fun!
Here’s a clever way to introduce kids to the instruments that make up an orchestra. The Littleton Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Jurgen de Lemos, music director, presents a Children’s Halloween Concert, inspired by the book, The Composer is Dead, written by Nathaniel Stookey, based on the book by well known children’s author, Lemony Snicket. The perpetrator is probably somewhere in the orchestra and the story takes this unique opportunity to spotlight different instruments, using Snicket’s wry humor. Also featured on the program will be some young violin-playing witches performing spooky music along with the orchestra. The orchestra musicians will all be in costume too.
WHEN: Saturday, October 31, 2:30pm.
WHERE: Littleton United Methodist Church, 5894 S. Datura St., Littleton.
COST: Free.
