Overview

We are a stimulating and open-minded learning environment that encourages independent and creative thought, as well as nurture the continuing development improvement of each individual child. We are a community school that honors the diversity of our students and their families. WE are always accepting enrollment for students ages 15 months - 6 years old. We are open year-round, have three gorgeous gardens and large playground and a fabulous children's library. Our after-school program includes: Spanish, art, music and gymnastics.

MSKC is a small community of 75 children and 11 staff members. We encourage parent involvement either in the classroom assisting, as a committee member, making materials, or simply by attending a parent curriculum meeting.

Montessori School at Ken Caryl (MSKC) is a non-profit organization founded in 1999 by a group of committed and dedicated parents and teachers. The Advisory Board of Trustees is comprised of parent volunteers and community members. MSKC is loyal to the Montessori Method and is first and foremost a school community; however we also offer full day extended care to enrolled students. A trained teacher is available thoughout the day to assist children; the Montessori classroom materials are never "closed."

Classroom observations are recommended before enrolling, especially if you are new to Montessori. Office hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. Observations are scheduled Monday and Thursday mornings by appointment.
