At the University of Colorado Museum of Natural History on CU’s Boulder Campus every Saturday is Family Day (from September thru May). Families come together to explore their world with hands-on art and science projects that are fun for all ages. Learn about our natural world: from weaving to water, trees to tusks and beetles to bees.



Check out the Paleontology Hall for touchable footprints, petrified wood and giant clams and watch a video that illustrates how Boulder soaring high at 5,400 feet once lay 2000 feet below ocean waters.



Visit the Anthropology Hall where biology, history, sociology and linguistics colorfully highlight past and present cultures of the Southwestern United States.



The museum’s unique BioLounge space includes a “Discovery Corner” filled with puzzles, puppets, books, games, fossils antlers and horns for kids to touch and explore. Parents will enjoy the always-changing exhibits, free organic coffee/tea and Victorian-styled “living room.”
